Tulum is a foodie’s paradise, with everything from world-class restaurants to hole-in-the-wall joints serving up delicious local cuisine. But if you’re looking for something a little different, you should definitely check out the food trucks at these wonderful food truck parks they have in Tulum.

Tulum food trucks are a great way to experience the local culture and try some of the best food in town. They’re also a lot of fun, and you’re sure to meet some interesting people while you’re there.

Here are a few favorite food trucks in Tulum:

  • Palma Central: This food truck park is located in the heart of Tulum, and it’s a great place to people-watch. There are a variety of food trucks to choose from, so you’re sure to find something to your taste.
  • @teamatl2019 on Trip advisor says this about Palma central “Excellent food, relaxed setting, great for families Located a few minute walk from the main drag of Tulum pueblo, this food truck park is a wonderful place for good (and some exceptionally good) eats in a relaxing setting. There is significant variety of food, from upscale twists on typical tostadas, to excellent burgers, and perhaps most surprisingly of all, exceptionally good Thai-inspired fusion cuisine in the ‘Asian Bodega’ truck. There is ample parking as well, a playground for kids, and lots of room on benches to hang out into the evening. The food trucks are open every night except for Wed, and there is music on the weekends. We just happened to walk past from our AirBNB and ended up spending 3 nights there – kids loved it, as did we. Some highlights below:
    • Bar – excellent cocktails, best we had in Tulum. Strong, tasty, and reasonably priced.
    • Asian Bodega – wow. Should be its own restaurant. Highlights include beef larb, dumplings, and a chayote-take on som tom (thai papaya salad).
    • Tostada cart – excellent poblano and huitlacoche tostadas
    • Arepas – kids loved them, as did we. Fresh and light, with multiple doughs, fillings, and really great fresh juices to help wash them down.
    • Crepe + torts truck – right before the ‘Asian Bodega’, this place offers a crepe w/nutella and bananas for 60 pesos that was ample for all of us for dessert.
    • Dessert cart – a small stand offering delicious cheesecakes and other Argentinean inspired desserts.
    • ‘King of the Street’ – our son really liked the milanesa, and our daughter liked the empanadas, all done in a Uruguayan style.
    • Burgers – others had these and raved.
    • As is apparent – we went *a lot* of times. The food is really good, affordable, fresh, and worth the trip, particularly for families, or even for late night hangouts, particularly when bands come out over the weekend.

Tuesday nights are also known for having large salsa classes that the community participates in. These are always fun. The entrance is $50 pesos and with your ticket you get a bottle of water or a beer.
